Die Schneeberger Technik lässt sich in die Gruppe der Bänderspitzen einordnen.
Heute besteht ein Band immer aus vier Paaren -- drei Längspaaren und einem
Führungspaar. An engen Stellen wird Leinenschlag geklöppelt. Die
breiteren Abschnitte werden mit Ganzschlägen gefüllt. Dabei müssen links
und rechts des mittleren Ganzschlagpaares die gleiche Anzahl von Drehungen
ausgeführt werden. Ein Flechter schließt das Muster ab.

Verschiedene Verzierungen füllen die freien Flächen innerhalb des Bandes oder
der Bänder. Meistens bestehen sie aus Flechtern oder Formschlägen. Sie entstehen
gleichzeitig mit dem jeweiligen Band.

The Schneeberg technique belongs to the group of braid laces. Today,
four pairs of bobbins, one worker pair and three passives, are always used
to work the braid. Narrow parts are worked in whole stitch, while wider parts
are filled with whole stitch and twist. You should work the same number
of twists on each side of the middle passive pair. The pattern has a plait
edging.

Several motifs fill the free areas formed by one ore more braids. These are
often plaits or leaves and worked in conjunction with the braid.

Die Schneeberger Verbindung wird mit dem Führungs- und dem linken Flechterpaar
gearbeitet.

plait pair.

Nadel vor der Verbindung stecken und eine Reihe im Ganzschlag
(oder Leinenschlag) bis zur nächsten Verbindung klöppeln.
Flechter am Rand nachführen.
Cross the middle threads. Put up a pin before the join and
work a row in whole stitch (or whole stitch and twist) up to the next join.
Work the plait on the edge up to the new position.

Mit dem rechten Flechterpaar eine Reihe klöppeln, dann eine Nadel stecken.

flechten.

Das rechte Paar des linken Bandes klöppelt Reihe durch das rechte Band.
Dann arbeitet das mittlere Paar des linken Bandes Reihe durch das rechte
Band.

braid. After that the middle pair of the left braid works a row through
the right braid.

Das letzte Paar des linken Bandes arbeitet eine Reihe durch das rechte Band.
Das linke wird nun das rechte Band und das rechte das linke Band.
The last pair of the left braid works a row through the right
braid. The left braid now becomes the right one and vice versa.

|
Ecken werden mit Hilfe von Umkehrschlägen gebildet.
Work the corners using reverse stitches.

Kreuzen, zweimal rechts, dann zweimal links drehen, nochmals kreuzen.
Cross the middle threads, twist twice the right, than twice the
left two threads, and cross the middle threads once more.

Diese Ecke wird mit Hilfe von zwei Umkehrschlägen gebildet.
Nach der vollen Reihe das Führungspaar innen einhäkeln.

After the completed row, on the inside of the corner do a sewing
as in the diagram.

In der Ecke das innen liegende Risspaar hängen lassen. Die nächste Reihe wird
verkürzt gearbeitet. Anschließend wird mit 2 Umkehrschlägen um die Ecke
geklöppelt. Nach der folgenden verkürzten Reihe wird das ausgelassene Paar
wieder mitgenommen und das Führungspaar eingehäkelt.
Leave the inner passive pair at the corner. Shorten the next row.
After that work around the corner using two reverse stitches. Another shorter
row follows. Now include the passive pair left behind and add the worker pair
with a sewing.

Bis zur inneren Ecke Leinenschlag klöppeln. Dort das innere Risspaar hängen
lassen. Mit dem mittleren Risspaar Umkehrschläge und dem äußeren Paar
Leinenschläge bis zur äußeren Ecke klöppeln.
Danach in den Ganzschlag wechseln. In der ersten vollen Reihe das ausgelassene
Paar wieder mitnehmen.
Work whole stitch up to the inside of the corner. Leave the inside pair. Work
reverse stitches using the middle passive pair and whole stitch with
the outside pair up to the outside corner.
Change to whole stitch and twist and add the left out until the turn is
completed.

danach 2 Reihen mit Umkehr- und Ganzschlag klöppeln, zwischen diesen aber
nicht drehen.
Eine Drehung ausführen, das ausgelassene Paar aufnehmen und die erste
volle Reihe im Leinenschlag arbeiten.

Work one with a reverse stitch and a whole stitch and twist,
and two rows using a
whole and a reverse stitch, but do not twist between them.
